The WTA Tour rankings have been updated after Coco Gauff won the Wuhan Open final against fellow American Jessica Pegula.<\/p>\n

Pegula congratulated Gauff<\/a> on her victory in Wuhan, which represents a third WTA<\/a> 1000 title for the 21-year-old.<\/p>\n

Gauff<\/a> won their Wuhan Open<\/a> final 6-4, 7-5 for her second title of 2025 and the 11th of her career, with Pegula<\/a> remaining on figures of three and nine respectively.<\/p>\n

The schedule has already moved on to the likes of the Ningbo Open and the Japan Open, which represent WTA 500 and 250 events respectively.<\/p>\n

They build towards the WTA Finals Riyadh next month, with Gauff and Pegula among the players to have already qualified.<\/p>\n

Along with her qualification that was achieved during her Wuhan Open run, Pegula has now climbed one place to fifth in the WTA rankings.<\/p>\n

She has replaced Mirra Andreeva, who has fallen one spot to sixth, with Ekaterina Alexandrova representing the only other change.<\/p>\n

The Russian has climbed one spot to 10th for her career-high ranking, with Qinwen Zheng dropping out of the top 10.<\/p>\n

There is just one change within the new ATP top 10 rankings, which has been confirmed following the conclusion of the Shanghai Masters.<\/p>\n

Valentin Vacherot stunned the entire field by lifting the trophy, defeating his cousin Arthur Rinderknech in the final.<\/p>\n

Vacherot has risen to 40th in the rankings<\/a> after his stunning win, with his move from world number 204 representing a huge 164-place climb.<\/p>\n

Rinderknech has risen 26 places to 28th, while in the top 10 only Lorenzo Musetti and Jack Draper have moved spots.<\/p>\n

The Italian has climbed one place to eighth, with the Briton falling one place to ninth, having already decided to end his 2025 season.<\/p>\n
