ACWORTH, Ga. \u2013 The Belmont men’s golf team is in fifth place after day one of The Scrappy at Cobblestone held Monday at Cobblestone Golf Club in Acworth, Georgia.<\/p>\n
Belmont posted rounds of 293 and 295 on Monday to finish the day in fifth place at 588.\u00a0\u00a0Host Kennesaw State has the team lead at 572, with Tennessee Tech in second at 582.<\/p>\n
Two Bruins are among the top-20 after 36 holes.\u00a0\u00a0Senior Conner Brown<\/a> and junior Chris Harpum<\/a> are tied for 17th\u00a0place at 146.\u00a0\u00a0They each carded identical rounds of 76 and 70 on day one.\u00a0\u00a0They are seven strokes back of the individual leader, Haden Maxwell of Tennessee Tech (139).<\/p>\n Junior Grey Goff<\/a> and freshman Jack Doyle<\/a> are each tied for 26th\u00a0place at 149.\u00a0\u00a0Goff shot rounds of 71 and 78, while Doyle posted rounds of 76 and 73.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Sophomore Brennan Cozad<\/a> is tied for 41st\u00a0place at 152.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 7:00am CT.\u00a0\u00a0Live scoring can be found at BelmontBruins.com.<\/p>\n Follow Belmont Men’s Golf on social media –\u00a0@BelmontMGolf on X and\u00a0@belmontmgolf on Instagram – for complete coverage of the Bruins.
