Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera’s two-year commitment to St Kilda won’t quell Port Adelaide in its pursuit of the South Australian.<\/p>\n

Both the Power and Adelaide came hard for Wanganeen-Milera throughout 2025, offering historic deals before he ultimately penned a two-year extension to stay at Moorabbin, worth around $2 million a season.<\/p>\n

Channel 9’s Tom Morris reported earlier in the year that the Crows offered $1.5 to $1.7 million over four years, while Port Adelaide proposed an astounding $2.5 million per season for 12 years, totalling $30 million.<\/p>\n

However, despite missing out on Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera’s signature this time around, the Power believe they “will be well prepared” for an all-out assault in two years.<\/p>\n

“We would all love to bring in A Grade talent,” Port Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps said on AFL Trade Radio.<\/p>\n

“Nasiah is a South Australian. We want to bring in homegrown talent, and we think we will be well prepared for when he is ready to make a decision next time.”<\/p>\n

Wanganeen-Milera still has strong links to Alberton, with close mates Jason Horne-Francis<\/a> and Jason Burgoyne.<\/p>\n

But on the flip side, St Kilda has cashed in on the star’s recommitment to the club, helping them land a quartet of established talent.<\/p>\n

Carlton duo Tom De Koning<\/a> and Jack Silvagni<\/a> opted to exercise their free agency rights to head to Moorabbin, while Sam Flanders<\/a> and Liam Ryan<\/a> were successfully traded to the club.<\/p>\n

Saints Head of Talent and Acquisition Graeme ‘Gubby’ Allan didn’t mince his words when reflecting on the importance of Wanganeen-Milera’s signature.<\/p>\n

“I think with Nas signing, it was really important for us,” Allan said on the opening day of the 2025 trade period.<\/p>\n

“Without Nas signing, I’m not sure I’d be here talking to you guys.
