Alec Baldwin<\/a> has been involved in a car accident with his brother, Stephen Baldwin. <\/p>\n

In a video posted to Instagram<\/a>, the 67-year-old confirmed that he and his brother got into a crash while he was driving his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s car in the Hamptons. \ufeff<\/p>\n

“This morning I was in this car accident a guy cut me off in a truck,” Alec claimed in a video posted to Instagram, adding the garbage truck was “the size of a whale”.<\/p>\n

“To avoid hitting [the garbage truck] I hit a tree. I hit a big fat tree,” he continued. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Alec explained that he had been driving his wife’s car at the time of the crash.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“I crushed my wife’s car. I feel bad about that,” he added, before clarifying: “But it’s all fine and I’m fine and my brother’s fine.”<\/p>\n

The actor went on to thank the East Hampton Police department for “coming to [his] aid” after the incident. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The incident was first reported by TMZ who obtained vision from the scene. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The publication reported that the brothers crashed head-first into a tree while driving a Range Rover in East Hampton, New York on Monday (Tuesday AEST).<\/p>\n

Photos obtained by TMZ of the scene show Baldwin on the phone as he stands next to the car, the bonnet of which is crumpled against a large tree.<\/p>\n

\ufeffOther vision shows the famous brothers standing in the pouring rain near the site of the crash as they speak with police officers attending the scene.<\/p>\n

Later, the brothers were collected by someone in another vehicle before the car was towed away.<\/p>\n

Nine.com.au has reached out to East Hampton Police Department for comment.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The crash comes \ufefffour years after Alec was involved in the tragic shooting incident which occurred on October 21, 2021 in Bonanza City, New Mexico on the set of Alec’s film Rust.<\/p>\n

A live round was discharged from a prop revolver used by \ufeffAlec, which fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.<\/p>\n

Alec went on to receive charges of involuntary manslaughter for his involvement in the incident.<\/p>\n

At his trial last year, the criminal \ufeffcharges were ultimately dismissed with prejudice by the trial judge.<\/p>\n

Opening up about the aftermath of the Rest shooting, Hilaria Baldwin revealed its toll on Alec in the couple’s TLC show The Baldwins<\/a>\ufeff.<\/p>\n

\ufeff”He has survivor’s guilt. You’re involved in this thing that nobody could even possibly imagine,” she told the camera in an interview.<\/p>\n

“And so it goes back to that day,” she said soberly, “He wishes it were him. He would change places in a second.”<\/p>\n

The \ufeffincident also affected his physical and mental health “tremendously,” the 41-year- old said of her husband.<\/p>\n

“The past few years all of a sudden he started having heart problems, he’s been hospitalised multiple times, he’s fainted,” she said.<\/p>\n
