Connor Budarick is officially a Western Bulldog.<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old has landed at the Kennel from the Gold Coast SUNS alongside Pick 70, in exchange for Pick 37 in this year\u2019s Telstra AFL Draft, bolstering the defensive stocks of the red, white and blue.<\/p>\n
A Queensland local who emerged from the Academy system, Budarick was pre-listed to the SUNS in 2019 and played 55 games across six seasons \u2013 including 19 this season as the club played finals for the first time. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Bulldogs Player Acquisition and Strategy Manager Michael Regan said he was thrilled to bring Budarick into the Club.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re really excited to have Connor join our Club,\u201d Regan said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis attributes as a small defender give us confidence he can make an immediate impact next year, playing a variety of roles in the defensive half.<\/p>\n
\u201cConnor has a history of being able to play on the best small forwards in the competition while providing drive from the back half.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has also shown versatility and been effective in multiple roles, with his speed, physicality and diligence standing out.<\/p>\n
\u201cConnor is fantastic character and at only 24 has the capability to continue improving as a footballer.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Bulldogs currently hold selections 14, 33 and 70 in next month\u2019s Telstra AFL Draft.<\/p>\n
