{"id":214007,"date":"2025-10-15T01:01:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T01:01:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/214007\/"},"modified":"2025-10-15T01:01:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T01:01:07","slug":"three-confirmed-dead-in-gladstone-house-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/214007\/","title":{"rendered":"Three confirmed dead in Gladstone house fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Three people have been confirmed dead following a house fire in central Queensland this morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Emergency services were alerted to the blaze by neighbours and arrived at the house on Whiting Street, in the Gladstone suburb of Toolooa, just before 6am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The two-storey home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The fire was brought under control by 7:20am, but the house had partially collapsed, hampering search efforts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Capricornia Detective Acting Superintendent Luke Peachey said the circumstances surrounding the fire and the identities of those who died were not yet known.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;Obviously the fire scene is very horrific \u2026 and will take some time to go through,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;It will be a number of days before we know the full circumstances of the fire.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ll be working with the families, once we establish who those people are, to try and work out what happened.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">A crime scene has been established and fire investigators have been notified.<\/p>\n<p>Loading<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Three people have been confirmed dead following a house fire in central Queensland this morning.
