Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsgd.com\/node_99363c4f3b\/48317e86c4.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">South<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 100 riders joined the \u201cRiding for a Greener Guangzhou\u201d event on Changzhou Island to celebrate 75 years of China\u2013Denmark relations and promote sustainable urban mobility.<\/p>\n<p>Danish Ambassador to China Michael Starb\u00e6k Christensen highlighted cycling\u2019s role in Denmark, noting Copenhagen\u2019s bike culture where \u201chalf of all trips to work or school are by bike,\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The ride was co-organized by the Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou with the Guangdong and Guangzhou People\u2019s Associations for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Vice President Chen Guangjun called Changzhou Island an \u201cecological gem\u201d and linked the event to the green goals of China\u2019s upcoming 15th National Games.<\/p>\n<p>Danish Consul General S\u00f8ren Bindesb\u00f8ll said he bikes daily with his children and encouraged urban cycling as faster, healthier and better for the climate.
