The Sydney Swans have traded Oliver Florent to the Carlton Football Club for a future third round draft pick.<\/p>\n
Since being drafted to Sydney from the Sandringham Dragons with pick 11 in the 2016 AFL draft, Florent played 184 games and kicked 51 goals in the red and white<\/p>\n
A much-loved member of the playing group, the 27-year-old has played in two Grand Finals. He spent most of his career at the Swans playing off half back, impressing with his speed and delivery by foot.<\/p>\n
Sydney Swans Executive General Manager, AFL Football, Leon Cameron has wished Florent well for the next chapter of his career.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince arriving in Sydney, Ollie has been a popular member of our team and it has been a tough call to let him go,\u201d Cameron said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have seen him grow from a shy teenager into a fantastic young man who has a good work ethic and an ability to unite others.<\/p>\n
