Previous contestants from the hit TV show The Traitors have been sharing their thoughts on the new celebrity line-up.<\/p>\n

Joe Scott and Charlotte Berman, from Hampshire, starred on series three of the reality competition and have praised the new series’ choice of traitors while speaking to BBC Radio Solent<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mr Scott, a teacher from Southampton, said he thought that Alan Carr helped provide “comedy value” to the programme, while Ms Berman said she loved Cat Burns playing the role.<\/p>\n

Among others appearing on the show are Olympic diver Tom Daley, broadcaster Clare Balding and comedian Sir Stephen Fry.<\/p>\n

The Celebrity Traitors continues on BBC One at 21:00 BST on Wednesday<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The programme fronted by a cape-wearing Claudia Winkleman sees contestants play the role of either “traitors”, who “murder” other players, or “faithfuls”, who try to identify the traitors – while both groups complete tasks and compete for a cash prize.<\/p>\n

The series currently airing is the fourth and for the first time the contestants are celebrities, all competing for prize money for charity.<\/p>\n

“It’s going to be completely different, but that’s what makes it more fun”, said Mr Scott, who played a faithful in series three. <\/p>\n

“They’re going to have to up the deceit even more because people know who they are,” he said. <\/p>\n

Speaking about the choice to make Jonathan Ross and Alan Carr two of the new traitors, he said: “I think the viewers like a good traitor, but they also like someone that’s a bit like ‘oh, I don’t know if I should have signed up to this job,’ that’s the comedy value.”<\/p>\n

So far, three celebrity contestants have been secretly assigned as traitors – comedians Alan Carr and Jonathan Ross, as well as singer-songwriter Cat Burns. <\/p>\n

Ms Berman, who lives near Basingstoke, who was as a faithful in series three until being recruited as a traitor, was known for faking a Welsh accent during her time on the programme. <\/p>\n

“You can see why the celebrity calibre is so high, because there’s such a desire to play this game, it’s like a giant parlour game,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Jonathan Ross is really enjoying his role as traitor, but Cat, she’s clever, she’s got the brains.<\/p>\n
