JONESBORO, Ark. – Southern Illinois Women’s Golf completed play at the Lady Red Wolves Classic Tuesday in Jonesboro, Ark., with a 16th-place finish.<\/p>\n
Head Coach Samantha Sambursky saw many encouraging signs from her young team.<\/p>\n
“We posted four scores in the 70s all rounds, and our last round was our low for the Fall so far,” she said. “My goal coming into the Fall was to build team relationships and keep improving each round, and we have done that.”<\/p>\n
Here is how the\u00a0Saluki golfers fared:

Sayyalinh continues to play well, and was the team’s leader in Southern’s round three score of 301, the best score of the season so far.<\/p>\n
This steady improvement is exactly what Sambursky wanted to see, and will bode well as the Salukis prepare for a quick turnaround.<\/p>\n
“The team is buying into the process, and we plan to keep improving as we head to K-State this weekend.”<\/p>\n
