Tom Trbojevic is reportedly set to remain at the Sea Eagles, with a drawn-out contract saga and an ugly stalemate coming to an end.<\/p>\n

According to news.com.au<\/a>, Trbojevic will sign a fresh one-year deal on Monday, extending his stay until the end of the 2027 season.<\/p>\n

The superstar fullback reportedly knocked back a two-year contract from the Warrington Wolves to stay in the NRL and remain a one-club player.<\/p>\n

Trbojevic\u2019s decision comes after it looked certain he would depart Brookvale, with club powerbrokers originally negotiating a three-year extension worth a reported $2.7 million.<\/p>\n

When that contract was taken to the board, it was revised to $2.4 million, with $300,000 stripped off it in a move that left Trbojevic angered, with a bad taste in his mouth.<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s decision reportedly prompted him to explore a move to the Super League, having already taken a significant pay cut on the initially negotiated deal from his current contract.<\/p>\n

Trbojevic was reportedly seriously considering walking out on the Sea Eagles, but had reservations playing for another NRL club.<\/p>\n

His new one-year extension is reportedly worth around $900,000 for the 2027 season, but the original contract would have seen him remain at Manly until 2029.<\/p>\n

On that original deal, his reportedly salary sat between $850,000 to $900,000 before it was slashed to $750,000 two days later.<\/p>\n
