He used the event to share his opinions on different people from the sports and entertainment world. One of the standout moments was the \u201cHater of the Year\u201d award, which featured Olympian Noah Lyles. Notably, Edwards and Lyles had a public feud last year after the latter criticized Adidas for releasing a signature shoe for Edwards before him. The \u201cHater of the Year\u201d award had Noah Lyles, sports analyst Skip Bayless, NBA legend Charles Barkley, and LA Lakers legend Magic Johnson. Edwards also gave out unique awards like \u201cWhite Boy of the Year,\u201d \u201cWoman of the Year,\u201d \u201cHidden Gem of the Year,\u201d \u201cReporter of the Year,\u201d \u201cThey Got Next,\u201d and \u201cArtist of the Year.\u201dHe listed only his AE1 shoes as the \u201cSneaker of the Year\u201d, giving it all 5 spots. According to Lyles\u2019 TIME cover story, he was offended at being invited to an Adidas event for Edwards, whom he called a \u201cman who has not even been in the NBA Finals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Edwards gears up for a good run with the Minnesota Timberwolves after the fallout in last season<\/p>\n<p>Last season, Anthony Edwards reached his second straight Western Conference Finals with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The team lost to the eventual champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder. They finished the regular season with a 49-33 record. Edwards averaged 27.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.This offseason, he focused on improving his game and his body as he enters the upcoming NBA 2025-26.\u201cI feel like I was able to actually work on my game,\u201d Edwards told Associated Press. \u201cThere were a lot of boring days in the gym, just working on one-dribble pull-ups.
