Paris Jackson has received $65 million in benefits from the estate of her late father, Michael Jackson, according to a new court filing.<\/p>\n
The massive figure was disclosed in an Oct. 9 court filing by the executors of Michael\u2019s estate in response to Paris, 27, stating in documents filed in June that she was \u201cconcerned\u201d regarding payments being made by her father\u2019s estate.<\/a><\/p>\n Michael\u2019s estate executors hit back in the new filing obtained by People.<\/a><\/p>\n Paris Jackson has received $65 million in benefits from her late father Michael Jackson\u2019s estate, according to an Oct. 9 court filing by Michael\u2019s estate executors. DPTIG \/ BACKGRID<\/p>\n The executors hit back at Paris\u2019 filing in June, when she expressed concern over how much the estate was paying in legal fees. amfAR via Getty Images<\/p>\n \u201cFew have benefited more from the Executors\u2019 business judgment than Petitioner herself, who has received roughly $65 million from the Estate in benefits,\u201d the filing alleges. \u201cShe would have never received that had the Executors followed a typical playbook for an estate like this one in July 2009.\u201d<\/p>\n The executors also credited themselves for turning the late king of pop\u2019s estate into a profitable one.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Executors\u2019 business judgment has taken an estate that \u2018started out as nothing but debt and substantial ongoing obligations\u2019 and \u2018turned [it] into a $2 billion estate\u2019 \u2014 an estate that is now \u2018a powerhouse and a force in the music business today,’\u201d the filing reads, per the outlet.<\/p>\n \u201cFew have benefited more from the Executors\u2019 business judgment than Petitioner herself, who has received roughly $65 million from the Estate in benefits,\u201d the new filing by Michael\u2019s executors, obtained by People, alleges. Getty Images for Friendly House<\/p>\n Paris alleged in a June court filing obtained by People, \u201cThese payments appear, at least in part, to consist of lavish gratuities bestowed upon already well-compensated counsel.\u201d WireImage<\/p>\n A court filing by Michael\u2019s estate executors in September also revealed that the singer\u2019s sexual assault accusers<\/a>, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, are seeking $400 million in damages<\/a> over the alleged abuse.<\/p>\n The executors stated in a Sept. 15 filing obtained by Us Weekly that not paying the legal fees would have \u201cprofoundly destabilizing consequences for the estate,\u201d noting that it most likely wouldn\u2019t be able to continue to fight Robson and Safechuck\u2019s lawsuits.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Estate would likely have to default \u2026 where numerous depositions, discovery matters, and other matters are scheduled to take place over the next several months, and where [Robson and Safechuck] are seeking $400 million,\u201d the docs stated.<\/p>\n \u201cIt would be disastrous for the Estate to default in this case,\u201d the docs continued.<\/p>\n Despite the legal drama, Paris happily reunited with her aunt Janet Jackson earlier this month at Paris Fashion Week.
