The Faithfuls on Celebrity Traitors<\/a> are on edge, and it\u2019s not hard to see why. While we\u2019ve been loving the BBC show\u2019s iconic moments from *that* side-eye to the high-camp funeral, they\u2019ve been fretting as they\u2019ve been mercilessly killed off one by one. But they could be about to get their just desserts as Alan Carr<\/a> is proving to be the weak link among the Traitors.<\/p>\n

While Alan may seem like he\u2019s going undetected in the castle, he’s made a series of slip-ups and errors that aren\u2019t going unnoticed. From exposing his Traitor mentality by exclaiming that Niko Omilana had been \u201cset up\u201d to his lack of loyalty to his other Traitors, which will surely come back to bite him, here\u2019s why Alan\u2019s days on BBC One’s Celebrity Traitors are numbered.<\/p>\n

Underneath all of his jokes and likeable personality, Alan is a traitor through and through. A true wolf in sheep\u2019s clothing. Case in point? After Faithful Niko was banished, Alan was one of the first to air his commiserations with Mark Bonnar. \u201cThat felt awful, didn\u2019t it? They’ve set him up\u201d, Alan said (not convincingly), as he tapped Mark on the back. While Mark seemingly thought nothing of it, alarm bells rang for the rest of us as he appeared to have let his mask slip and proved he had Traitor mentality. <\/p>\n

Alan may be feeling very confident as a Traitor but that could soon be shattered, as he has a target on his back. Since Alan\u2019s murder of Paloma Faith in plain sight, Clare Balding has not been able to shake the feeling that he was behind it \u2013 and has raised it more than once. Her suspicion reared its ugly head once again during last\u2019s night roundtable, where she yet again pointed the finger at Alan, saying that his murdering of Paloma would be the ultimate \u201cdeflect\u201d. When Clare voted for him, you can bet that Ruth Codd and Celia Imrie registered it too. <\/p>\n

Alan is letting is Traitor ego get the better of him. Does he feel any remorse about killing of Faithful one by one? Absolutely not. He revels in it. His overexcitement was palpable when he discussed who to murder next in the turret with Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns. As they raised the possibility of sending Clare \u2013 who has long suspected Alan \u2013 back home, Alan was gleeful. \u201cI just love the impact of it, killing Clare,\u201d he enthused, as it would create chaos, turning the Faithful into \u201cheadless chickens\u201d. Alan then reiterated his bloodthirsty desire to create \u201cimpact\u201d. He said: \u201cAt breakfast tomorrow, I want them running scared.\u201d After deciding to murder Tom Daley, Alan signed off: \u201cThey need their wings clipped. I\u2019ve got a taste for it now. Let\u2019s get murdering.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s fair to say that Alan has not mastered the art of subtlety, which is essential for a Traitor. Typically, the best tactic if you\u2019re going to murder your contestants without detection is to fade into the background as much as possible. At any given possibility, Alan is voicing his opinions and, subsequently, making himself the centre of attention. After Tom\u2019s murder, rather than sit back and enjoy the chaos, Alan was one of the first to declare during a chat outside with the likes of Joe Wilkinson: \u201cWho would murder an Olympian?\u201d And, during the roundtable, he made a potentially fatal error of voting for Celia, one of the most switched-on and perceptive Faithful. When he voted for her, he wasn\u2019t apologetic or discreet about it, instead, he quipped: \u201cWhen you go snooping you should look in the mirror?\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone gets voted out? Alan is smiling. Someone doesn\u2019t turn up for breakfast? Alan is smirking. Simply walking around the castle? Alan is grinning from ear to ear. He really does look like the cat that got the cream! Even when he voted to banish Celia at the roundtable, Alan couldn\u2019t help himself. As he turned on Celia, he explained he was suspicious of her because she is \u201cquite clever\u201d with words. Then he quipped with a toothy grin and a cackle: \u201cNext time you do some snooping, you might want to look in the mirror.\u201d Surely it can\u2019t be long before his fellow contestants clock him? <\/p>\n

He\u2019s admitted to Cat he would turn on another Traitor\"tx<\/p>\n

Ruth is like a dog with a bone when it comes to bringing down Jonathan and it\u2019s clear Alan is worried he could be the weak link in the Traitors. He immediately grilled Ruth about her suspicions about Jonathan, seemingly to work out if he needs to do some real dirty work. Alan next approached Cat to gauge her feelings on Jonathan. \u201cWould you have thrown Jonathan under the bus?\u201d he asked her during a private chat around the kitchen table. When she admitted that, yes, she was ready and willing, Alan revealed: \u201cIf one more person [had voted for him], I would\u2019ve put his name.\u201d Did he feel any guilt over his potential backstabbing? You bet he didn\u2019t. Instead, he and Cat burst into giggles. This is a bold move so early on in the game when Traitors usually try and prove their loyalty to one another\u2026<\/p>\n
