\u201cYeah, it means a lot, the new logo. It shows grit and determination \u2026 facing our challenges head on. It was a challenging year, this year with everything that we went through,\u201d Bulldgos skipper Stephen Crichton said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe new logo shows to all of our fans and other teams and other clubs out there that we are not going to back down.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite the upbeat messaging from the club and players, fans weren\u2019t buying it with backlash pouring in on social media.<\/p>\n
Posts on the club\u2019s social media accounts were quickly overran with an outpouring of anger as the fan base slammed the revamped logo.<\/p>\n
One Dogs fan said to news.com.au: \u201cThe logo looks like Paw Patrol from Temu. Let\u2019s just hope the team plays with the same \u2018grit\u2019 and \u2019determination\u2019 represented in the new logo, as per the club\u2019s announcement.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another wrote on X: \u201cI\u2019ve double-checked today\u2019s date and it\u2019s not 1st April. WTAF is that? Where was the engagement with the members? Not happy, Jan!\u201d<\/p>\n
A second posted: \u201cLooks purposely marketed for kids. Like maybe for the pups members or something \u2026 real step back.\u201d<\/p>\n
A third added: \u201cTalk about kicking us while we\u2019re down after the finals loss. The club is going to get hammered on every social media platform this is unveiled on.\u201d<\/p>\n
Of course not everyone was left seeing red over the new look with several fans giving it the tick of approval.<\/p>\n
One wrote on X: \u201cI like it, we were always going to eventually get a simple design built for the modern era at some point.\u201d<\/p>\n
A second added: \u201cLooks better! coming from a rabbits fan. Ignore the whingers, people literally hate any change when it comes to logos and jersey redesigns in rugby league.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bulldogs CEO Aaron Warburton said the updated look reflected the passion and the pride of the club.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis new emblem is more than just a logo \u2013 it reflects who we are, where we\u2019ve come from, and where we\u2019re going. It carries forward the fighting spirit that has defined this club since 1935, while facing the future head-on with confidence and pride,\u201d Warburton said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly proud of the design and believe it strikes the right balance between paying tribute to our 90-year legacy and capturing the energy, ambition and unity that will define our future.\u201d<\/p>\n
The club confirmed the new logo will appear across all Bulldogs platforms, merchandise in line with the launch of the 2026 season on November 1.<\/p>\n
\u201cForged from 90 years of history, facing forward to the future \u2013 this is who we are,\u201d the club said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cA new look, same heart. Built for what\u2019s next.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Bulldogs look forward to embracing this exciting new era \u2013 and new look that represents it \u2013 with pride, unity, and the unwavering spirit that defines the Blue and White.\u201d<\/p>\n
