Associated Press<\/a>, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar reflected on his drive to keep improving while visiting his family home in Athens.<\/p>\nIt is at his home that his typical night time routine is to grab some fruit, head out to his balcony to gaze out at his homeland and let time and his mind drift away.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just sit out there and think about what\u2019s important for me,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd every time I come to the conclusion: legacy. What I\u2019m going to be remembered for.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 13th-year forward has already secured a championship, two MVP awards, a Finals MVP, and more than 20,000 career points. He also led Greece to its first EuroBasket medal in 16 years this summer.<\/p>\n
Still, Antetokounmpo insists there\u2019s more to achieve.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not about stats no more,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s about how can we do great things on the court\u2026 Every athlete starts a career with a quest of what they want to be remembered for.\u201d<\/p>\n
On his long-term future, Antetokounmpo reaffirmed his commitment to Milwaukee \u2014 but left the door slightly open.<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe in this team. I believe in my teammates,\u201d he said. \u201cNow, in six or seven months I change my mind, I think that\u2019s human, too.\u201d<\/p>\n
Asked whether he sees himself among the game\u2019s all-time legends, he didn\u2019t hesitate:<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s the goal. I\u2019m not there yet. They\u2019re like top 10 all-time. I\u2019ve got a lot of work to do. But I\u2019m going to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Earlier this week, the \u2018Greek Freak\u2019 revealed that he plans to end his basketball career in Greece.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m 30 years old, I can play in the NBA until I\u2019m 36-38. I\u2019d like to end my career in a Greek team, why not?\u201d he said on ANT1\u2019s The 2night Show.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t want to live in the United States. As soon as I leave the NBA, I want to return to Greece.
