The Timberwolves played their full rotation of starting players in the game, with Naz Reid as the lone exception, as he missed the game as a precaution with “some bumps and bruises.”

With the Timberwolves’ sixth and final preseason game coming tomorrow night in Philadelphia, this game against the Bulls is likely the final time the Wolves’ starters take the floor before their first game of the regular season next Wednesday in Portland.

Anthony Edwards played well in the game, scoring 25 points on 9-19 shots, including three 3-pointers, putting up seven rebounds and five assists across 30 minutes on the floor. Edwards’ scoring came from all areas of the floor as he made shots from beyond the arc, inside the paint, at the line, and in the midrange, including a beautiful fadeaway jumper from the post.

Julius Randle continued his solid preseason, showing off his patented bully-ball game. Randle finished the night of the game with 23 points on just 18 shots, including two makes from deep. The other 17 points came either at the rim, in the post, or at the free-throw line.

The Wolves seemed to make it a priority to find Rudy Gobert near the basket, and that paid off as the Wolves’ big man scored 16 points on 12 shots. The four-time Defensive Player of the Year also had two blocks and a steal in his 26 minutes played.

Off the bench, Rob Dillingham had possibly his best game of the preseason. He spread the ball around well with five assists while scoring 13 points on 6-11 shooting, including a make on a pull-up 3-pointer and a pretty drive to the rim and finish over his defender.

Terrence Shannon Jr. again showed why he deserves a permanent spot in the Wolves’ rotation as he put up 14 points and seven assists. The Wolves have talked all preseason about wanting the push the ball more in transition and increase their pace of play, and Shannon Jr. exemplifies that as a fantastic transition player.

Neither team played much defense in this one, especially late in the game, where the back end of the Wolves’ rotation gave up 40 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 126-120 loss in Chicago.

The Timberwolves have their sixth and final preseason game tomorrow night against the Philadelphia 76ers, with many of the starters and rotation players unlikely to play. The game begins at 6:00 PM CT, with fans being able to watch the game on NBA League Pass.

With the start of the regular season less than a week away, the Minnesota Timberwolves took on the…

[557
64,63,590,85,126161
0":"post-219333","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nba","8":"tag-au","9":"tag-australia","10":"tag-nba","11":"tag-sports","12":"tag-timberwolves-scores
["GET
