Golf fans will see more of Tiger Woods early in 2026 than they think. He just might not be swinging golf clubs.<\/p>\n
The 15-time major champ announced last week he\u2019d undergone spinal surgery<\/a>, a seventh back procedure in 11 years.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter experiencing pain and lack of mobility in my back, I consulted with Doctors and Surgeons to have tests taken,\u201d Woods wrote on X. \u201cThe scans determined that I had a collapsed disc in L4\/5, disc (sic) fragments and a compromised spinal canal. With his 50th birthday on December 30, Woods will be eligible for the PGA Tour Champions to start 2026.<\/p>\n He had also been expected to play in TGL events having played in four matches during the inaugural season of the tech-infused indoor golf league he founded with Rory McIlroy. But he at least gave a small update to his future schedule in response to a tweet from his Jupiter Golf Links squad.<\/p>\n I\u2019ll be there for every match!
