A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/09\/24\/raj-sports-lawsuit-could-complicate-blazers-sale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/09\/24\/raj-sports-lawsuit-could-complicate-blazers-sale\/\">lawsuit\u202ffiled in September by RAJ Sports<\/a> alleged the Cherngs \u201cbreached an exclusivity agreement and sought to bar them from joining\u202fthe investment group\u201d that offered the winning $4.25B bid\u202ffor the NBA franchise, led by Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon. The lawsuit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/10\/14\/raj-sports-settles-suit-over-trail-blazers-sale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/10\/14\/raj-sports-settles-suit-over-trail-blazers-sale\/\">was settled on Monday<\/a>, two days before the first scheduled hearing and less than a week after Dundon\u202fsaid that his investment group \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/10\/08\/dundon-blazers-sale-can-happen-without-cherngs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/10\/08\/dundon-blazers-sale-can-happen-without-cherngs\/\">has the money to buy the team with or without the Cherngs<\/a>.\u201d Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
