Meghan Markle\u2019s short-lived podcast series Confessions of a Female Founder has picked up two honours in the annual Signal Awards for podcasting.<\/p>\n
Markle, 44, launched the podcast in April as a weekly series with Lemonada Media in which the ex-working royal chats to high-profile businesswomen.<\/p>\n
The Duchess of Sussex spoke to the likes of Bumble’s Whitney Wolfe Herd, Cassandra Thurswell of Kitsch and IT Cosmetics’ Jamie Kern Lima for the project.<\/p>\n
Confessions was much maligned by critics, while the series completely disappeared from the Spotify charts just weeks after its debut.<\/p>\n
In the end the entire program wrapped up after a mere eight episodes with one \u201cbonus\u201d episode featuring a Zoom sit-down with Beyonce\u2019s mother Tina Knowles.<\/p>\n
Despite being a critical flop and languishing on the charts, Markle\u2019s short-lived podcast has picked up two nods at the Signal Awards.<\/p>\n
Confessions won a gold award in the \u201cBusinesspeople & Entrepreneurs Shaping Culture\u201d category of The Signal Awards, which aim to recognise \u201cmeaningful podcasts\u201d.<\/p>\n
Markle\u2019s business podcast \u2013 her second attempt at the audio medium – was also voted \u201cListener’s Choice\u201d in this category.<\/p>\n
On social media, podcast listeners were quick to question the merit of Markle\u2019s largely forgotten and short-lived show receiving the gongs. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Confessions of a blah, blah were abysmal, after each episode the ratings got less and she was raked over the coals because she couldn’t stop talking about herself long enough to have her guests talk.\u201d<\/p>\n
