Conway, Ark.- As the 2025-26 Basketball season approaches, the ASUN Conference announced their Preseason All-ASUN Team and Preseason Polls for Men’s Basketball.
\n\u00a0
\nCentral Arkansas Guard, Cam Hunter, was named to the 2025-26 Preseason All-ASUN Team. In the 2021-22 season, as a true freshman, he led the Bears in scoring with 14.1 points per game and was named the ASUN Freshman of the Year and 1st team All-ASUN. During the 2022-23 season, he led the team again in scoring with 16.9 points per game and was again named to the All-ASUN team. Hunter missed the 2023-24 season due to an injury and played at Wisconsin for the 2024-25 season. Hunter is back in Purple and Grey for his senior season looking to build off of the success he had as a Bear during the first two years of his career.

\nLast year the Bears were 4-14 in ASUN Conference games and finished in 10th place. The Bears qualified for the ASUN Championship Tournament where the Bears beat Stetson before losing to the number 1 seed\u00a0and eventual ASUN Tournament Champion, Lipscomb.\u00a0

\nHead Coach John Shulman, “Preseason honors and predictions are exactly that- preseason predictions, we are more concerned about post season honors and polls.” Coach Shulman continued, “I’m glad Cam got recognized but we are just ready to get going to hopefully prove a lot of people wrong, we will see.”

\nThe 2025-26 season starts on November 3rd in Chapel Hill, N.C. vs UNC and the ASUN schedule starts on New Years Day in Conway vs Florida Gulf Coast.
