The end of Michael van der Mark\u2019s full-time WorldSBK career does not mean the end of the 2014 Supersport World Champion in the premier class of the production derivative series.<\/p>\n
Van der Mark will walk away from full-time racing commitments in the World Superbike<\/a> Championship at the end of this weekend\u2019s (17\u201319 October) Spanish WorldSBK after 11 seasons in the top category.<\/p>\n The 32-year-old says his time in the World Championship has been enjoyable, and has indicated that he could be back on the grid in future years.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been a nice couple of years here,\u201d Michael van der Mark<\/a> told WorldSBK.com ahead of the Spanish Round.<\/p>\n \u201cWe had many ups and downs but most of all I always had fun here in World Superbike so it\u2019s nice to be here and I\u2019m not sad or anything.\u00a0<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s special.
