As one of the more public-facing jobs in sports, mistakes and mishaps from reporters are seen with a higher frequency than others. Unfortunately for one rink side reporter, a faceplant got shown across the country.<\/p>\n

Sportsnet reporter Anna Dua took an unlucky spill while running in the bowels of Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.<\/p>\n

Worse for her, not only was this caught on a hallway camera, she says this happened in front of the entire New York Rangers<\/a> team as they warmed up prior to their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.<\/p>\n

Colleague and SN host David Amber poked fun at Dua after she gave a pre-game injury report live on the network’s air, saying, ‘I thought you were going to mention your injury, didn’t you wipe out 20 minutes ago?’<\/p>\n

Dua slumped her head, admitted the accident happened, and said ‘Once we get the footage of that, maybe we’ll be able to show the fans at home that as well.’<\/p>\n

She did, in fact, find some footage of the spill and posted it and Amber’s joke to her social media account.<\/p>\n

Dua took a spill in the tunnel under Scotiabank Arena in front of the New York Rangers team<\/p>\n

Dua has been with Sportsnet since 2024 after working in sports media since 2019<\/p>\n

Dua has been in the business for a while now after graduating with a bachelors in sports media from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in 2021.<\/p>\n

Prior to that, the Canadian-American dual citizen parlayed her ice hockey playing background to briefly become a coach in the academy system for the Washington Capitals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dua also worked in gameday operations for the Maple Leafs before serving as an NHL contributor to NBC Sports back when the network had rights to cover the league.<\/p>\n

She then worked for the league itself as a sports host and reporter before returning to her native Canada for her current role in 2024.<\/p>\n
