Manly Warringah Sea Eagles prop Josh Aloiai has been forced into early retirement after failing to recover from an ongoing shoulder injury.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old has suffered significant damage to his right shoulder over recent seasons, leaving him unable to perform at the standard required for NRL competition.<\/p>\n

The NRL has agreed to retire Aloiai on medical grounds, meaning he will not see out the final two years of his contract at the Club.<\/p>\n

The Samoa international was forced from the field midway through the first half in Manly\u2019s Round 13 victory over the Broncos at 4 Pines Park this season, in what would be his 164th and final NRL game.<\/p>\n

Aloiai joined the Sea Eagles in 2021 after playing five seasons with the Wests Tigers.<\/p>\n

Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov has thanked Josh for his contribution to the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wish Josh and his family the very best with their future,\u201d said Mestrov.<\/p>\n
