Suffice to say, smartwatches have become more than just a novelty in recent years, and the Galaxy Watch offers a bunch of quality-of-life features. One such feature is Sleep Apnea detection, though unfortunately, it is not available for Galaxy Watch smartwatches in every region.

Galaxy Watch users in Thailand can now finally try Sleep Apnea detection feature!

Thankfully, that is starting to change. Galaxy Watch users in Thailand can now finally try out the Sleep Apnea feature (h/t: @mrsevensp on X). Thailand joins 70 other markets where Samsung made Sleep Apnea detection available this June. For those unfamiliar, Sleep Apnea is a condition in which breathing repeatedly pauses or becomes shallow during sleep.

Many people are unaware they have it, which can lead to fatigue, restless nights, and longer-term health concerns. Samsung’s feature uses sensors in the Galaxy Watch to analyze sleep and detect patterns associated with moderate or severe Sleep Apnea.

The Sleep Apnea feature integrated into Galaxy Watches has been approved by Europe’s CE (Conformité Européenne), the United States’ FDA, Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Brazil’s health regulatory agency ANVISA, Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration, Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority, and Health Canada, according to Samsung.

It works on Galaxy Watch 4 or later, and here’s how you can turn it on

So, which Galaxy Watch models support Sleep Apnea? Sleep Apnea detection is available on the Galaxy Watch 4 and later models. The feature can be used on the following Galaxy Watches:

To turn it on, open the Samsung Health Monitor app on your watch, select Sleep Apnea, and follow the on-screen steps until setup is complete. Make sure to wear your watch while sleeping for at least two nights in a row. Even if it doesn’t detect anything, it’s still reassuring to know your sleep is being monitored.

We’re living in a time when more than one in three Americans use sleep trackers, and over 77%…

[6
64,63,40244,105,3725
0":"post-221618","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-technology","8":"tag-au","9":"tag-australia","10":"tag-sleep-apnea","11":"tag-technology","12":"tag-thailand
["GET
