The Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List star said: \u201cYou don\u2019t know how excited I am.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m going to blame everything on my age. I want to be on every discount list.\u201d<\/p>\n
Griffin was at the centre of a huge storm in 2017 when she posed for a photoshoot depicting her holding US President Donald Trump\u2019s severed and bloody head but thinks the public have since softened their views on her as she prepares to hit the road next month with her New Face, New Tour comedy shows.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI think people are feeling like, \u2018Okay, the photo was offensive, but it\u2019s now been eight years, and she wasn\u2019t ruined by it.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cI get a lot of people that come into my comments saying I\u2019ve risen from the ashes, and that\u2019s the best compliment I can get. I\u2019m proud of the fact I\u2019m still here.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, the controversial comic has promised she will deliver the no-holds-barred approach that her fans crave on the tour.<\/p>\n
Kathy \u2013 who revealed in 2023 that she had been diagnosed with an \u201cextreme\u201d case of complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) \u2013 said: \u201cI talk about some heavy stuff, but I get so much feedback from my audiences saying, \u2018I\u2019m glad you went there.\u2019<\/p>\n
