The Los Angeles Dodgers’ quest for back-to-back World Series championships is alive and well, with the team having pulled to a commanding 3-0 NLCS lead<\/a> over the Milwaukee Brewers with a 3-1 victory in Game 3 on Thursday.<\/p>\n

L.A.’s pitching this series has been stellar: After Blake Snell’s one-hit gem<\/a> and Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s complete game<\/a> in Milwaukee, Tyler Glasnow got things started in Los Angeles with a great 5 2\/3-inning showing in Game 3. The Dodgers’ bullpen, which has had its struggles this season<\/a>, came in to close it down. Roki Sasaki, a highly-touted pitching prospect whose role as a starter was limited<\/a> due to a lengthy IL stint this season, has become the team’s premier closer and proved that again with a scoreless ninth inning.<\/p>\n

Now, the Dodgers are one win away from a sweep of the Brewers and a return to the World Series \u2014 with home-field advantage and with Shohei Ohtani on the mound, facing off against Jose Quintana. The No. 1 NL seed Brewers face an uphill battle to salvage their season, having scored only three runs in the NLCS.<\/p>\n

Ohtani’s final line: 6+ innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 3 walks, 10 strikeouts on 100 pitches. And he’s still not finished at the plate.<\/p>\n

Again, outside of the Ohtani HR, which was an all-time talent going god-mode, the Brewers’ rookie pitcher has been pretty good through four innings: only one hit and run allowed with five strikeouts on 47 pitches.<\/p>\n

Ohtani is headed back out there for the seventh inning at 87 pitches.<\/p>\n

Ohtani’s at 10 strikeouts, two walks and one hit allowed while sitting at 87 pitches. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said before the game that he saw seven innings and 100 pitches as “soft parameters” for his superstar on the mound, so Ohtani might not be finished (on the mound at least).<\/p>\n
