\n\tIs \u201cSabrina and the City\u201d the latest Sex and the City spinoff? Not quite. But it is the premise for Saturday Night Live<\/a>\u2019s first teaser for pop star Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>\u2019s upcoming episode.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Man\u2019s Best Friend singer, who previously appeared on the show as a musical guest, is taking on double-duty this Saturday (Oct. 18) as SNL<\/a>\u2019s host and musical guest.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a promotional video titled, \u201cAnd Just Like That\u2026Sabrina Carpenter Is Hosting SNL,\u201d Carpenter turns into her own version of Carrie Bradshaw. \u201cNew York is one big apple, and I\u2019m taking my bite at Saturday Night Live,\u201d the singer says in a classic Sex and the City voiceover to kick off the video.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tCarpenter encounters several SNL castmembers, ignoring their normal questions and answering in lines that sound like they\u2019ve been pulled from the HBO show. \u201cThank God, it\u2019s Mr. Big,\u201d she yells at one point, referencing Carrie\u2019s longtime Sex and the City love interest, before running over to Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a>. \u201cOh, hey, it\u2019s actually Marcello but I\u2019ll take it,\u201d he answers.<\/p>\n

\n\tHern\u00e1ndez and Carpenter are certainly not strangers. On top of doing the week\u2019s second promotional video together, Hern\u00e1ndez gained immense popularity for a character he played on the show named Domingo, who was featured in a wedding-themed parody skit set to Carpenter\u2019s song \u201cEspresso.\u201d She even joined in for a follow-up sketch earlier this year, set to a song from Wicked, a nod to fellow pop star Ariana Grande, who was in the first sketch.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the second video released ahead of the episode, Carpenter jokes that she might need to arrest someone for being too hot \u2014 a nod to her song \u201cJuno,\u201d where she picks an audience member to \u201carrest\u201d for that reason. Carpenter even arrested Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a>, reprising his Domingo character, at an L.A. show last year. In the promo, Hern\u00e1ndez holds his hands out, ready to be arrested, before Carpenter picks the show\u2019s cameraman.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tCarpenter follows Bad Bunny and SNL alum Amy Poehler as hosts of season 51. Miles Teller, Nikki Glaser and Glen Powell were just announced<\/a> as the show\u2019s upcoming hosts; however, the full lineup of hosts and musical guests for this season hasn\u2019t been revealed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Is \u201cSabrina and the City\u201d the latest Sex and the City spinoff?
