All Set for the WBC Boxing Grand Prix Semifinals in Riyadh<\/p>\n

After three intense stages, the WBC Boxing Grand Prix now enters its semifinal phase. The official weigh-in took place this Saturday, October 18, at the Joudyan Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

The semifinals will be held on October 19 at the Global Theater in Boulevard City, Riyadh.<\/p>\n

The tournament began with 128 participants from 43 countries, divided into four weight categories with 32 fighters each: Featherweight, Super Lightweight, Middleweight, and Heavyweight.<\/p>\n

In the first stage, held in April, a total of 64 fights took place, 16 per division, all scheduled for 6 rounds. The winners advanced directly to the next phase. The second stage, held in June, featured 32 fights; and the third stage, in August, contested a total of 16 bouts.<\/p>\n

WEIGH-IN<\/p>\n

*In the WBC Grand Prix, fighters in the Featherweight and Lightweight divisions are granted a two-pound allowance. Middleweight fighters receive a 2.5-pound allowance due to the implications of long travel with multiple stops to Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
