Jennifer Aniston<\/a>, who will star as a fictionalized version of Jennette McCurdy\u2019s mother in an adaptation of her memoir I\u2019m Glad My Mom Died<\/a>, can unfortunately relate to the material. \u201cWe have a lot in common,\u201d Aniston told People<\/a>. \u201cWe had very similar moms.\u201d Despite the story hitting close to home, the executive producer is excited to work on the project, explaining why she joined the show in the first place. \u201cWhen it came across my desk as an option, an offer to play this character and work with Jennette and Sharon Horgan and LuckyChap, I was pretty much immediately intrigued and flattered and excited,\u201d Aniston explained. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be wonderful. It\u2019s going to be pretty great to start shooting it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Friends\u00a0actress had a difficult relationship with her mother, previously sharing that she didn\u2019t think she lived up to the expectations her mother had for her. She told the Sunday Telegraph<\/a> in 2019 that \u201cI did not come out the model child she\u2019d hoped for and it was something that really resonated with me, this little girl just wanting to be seen and wanting to be loved by a mom who was too occupied with things that didn\u2019t quite matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
