Police officials in Seoul announced on Tuesday (July 15) that they will drop two criminal complaints filed by HYBE against Min for alleged breach of duty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHowever, the decision represents a \u201cnon-indictment disposition,\u201d meaning the case has been closed at the police level without being forwarded to prosecutors \u2014 so it does not signify a final resolution.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHYBE responded swiftly, stating, \u201cWe will file an objection with the prosecution today regarding the non-indictment decision in the breach of duty case.\u201d The company also emphasized that \u201cnew developments have occurred since the investigation, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/results\/?q=new%20jeans&amp;size=n_10_n&amp;sort-field=relevance&amp;sort-direction=desc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NewJeans<\/a> members\u2019 declarations to terminate their contracts, along with newly submitted evidence in related court proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMin stepped down from her position as an internal director at ADOR in November 2024 and officially left the company after her request for reinstatement as the label\u2019s CEO was denied. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tA third hearing in a separate civil lawsuit filed by HYBE for damages is scheduled to take place on Friday (July 18).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe police\u2019s decision not to indict stands in contrast to the court\u2019s rejection of NewJeans\u2019 request to overturn an injunction, filed by ADOR in January, that barred the five NewJeans members from signing independent deals without the label\u2019s approval.
