Lance \u201cBuddy\u201d Franklin and his wife Jesinta, are selling their sprawling Gold Coast mansion once again with hopes of opening a fresh chapter at a hobby farm in time for Christmas.<\/p>\n

The Australian power couple have relisted their luxury Mediterranean-inspired Villa Casa with a $10.9 million price tag after putting it up for sale last year but taking it off the market two months later.<\/p>\n

The WA-born former Sydney Swans star said his family are set to move into a hobby farm by the time Christmas rolls around, which is just 66 days away.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has taken us purchasing our next property to be fully ready to let this one go,\u201d Franklin told realestate.com.au<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s time, and we can\u2019t wait for our first Christmas with the kids on the new property.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve always envisioned raising the kids on a hobby farm.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ll have ponies by Christmas, and I know this move is the perfect step for our family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Franklin said selling the home was \u201cextremely difficult\u201d after raising his two young children there, Tullulah and Rocky, in a house he could \u201conly have dreamed living in\u201d.<\/p>\n

The move also comes as the couple prepare to welcome their third child, with Jesinta\u2019s pregnancy announced in June.<\/p>\n

\u201cVilla Casa truly is a home I could only have dreamed of living in,\u201d Franklin said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs soon as you step inside, the panoramic views of the Gold Coast skyline and ocean just take your breath away.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat makes the decision to sell extremely difficult, but at the same time, I\u2019m so excited about what lies ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith a new baby arriving and lots of lawns for me to mow, I just hope Santa brings me a ride-on mower this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesinta also got emotional about selling the seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion, saying the home was \u201ctruly one of a kind\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut as our family continues to grow, we have dreamt and been searching for nearly two years for a special piece of land where we could build a farmhouse, raise horses and chickens, and plant vegetable gardens,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve finally found that place, closer to my parents and our children\u2019s school, and it feels like the right move for our family.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sporting and glamour duo bought Villa Casa in 2023 for $8.75 million.<\/p>\n

It was designed by architect Reece Keil, built by Tidal Constructions and crowned the Gold Coast house of the year in 2022.<\/p>\n

Villa Casa features a kitchen with a half-moon island bench that flows into a living area overlooking the Queensland city.<\/p>\n

The main bedroom includes a 4m headboard and a vaulted tunnel leading to a dressing room and ensuite.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the outdoor facilities are something one would expect from a resort, with a glamorous terrace running the length of the magnesium pool with swim-up bar.<\/p>\n
