The Bolts are on a short week.

Here are five things to know about the Chargers ahead of Week 8.

1. What happened in Week 7?

The Chargers got behind early and never led in a 38-24 loss to Indianapolis.

“It wasn’t our best in any phase,” said Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh.

The defense allowed season highs of 38 points and 401 yards of offense to the Colts, while the offense managed just three points in a first half that featured a pair of turnovers.

The offense came to life in the second half as Justin Herbert finished with a career-best 420 passing yards, with touchdown passes to Quentin Johnston, Keenan Allen and Oronde Gadsden.

Harbaugh said he’s hoping that second-half performance can spark the Bolts going forward.

“It wasn’t our best day,” Harbaugh said. “But do I have confidence in my team? Yes. Do I believe they’re fighting? Yeah.”

He later added: “From our whole team — courage, fight, our guys never quit. That’s the big thing I takeaway.”

The Bolts are on a short week.
