We dive into the biggest story of the day and get you up to speed with everything else that&#8217;s making headlines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">In addition to competing \u2013 he finished ninth in the blitz world championship last year \u2013 he was a popular commentator, writer and online educator.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Naroditsky streamed regularly on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Players and fans praised his teaching skills and friendly personality as tributes poured in from around the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;I&#8217;m devastated,&#8221; American world number two Hikaru Nakamura said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;This is a massive loss for the world of chess.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Danny Rensch, one of the key figures with prominent chess website Chess.com, described Naroditsky as &#8220;more than an amazing, inspirational face of our game \u2014 he was a friend and brother&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;The news is devastating for the chess world and all who knew him.
