KAUA’I, HAWAII \u2013 Led by five Owls that shot 3-over or better on the day, Kennesaw State women’s golf sits in 14th place after the first 18 holes at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Hawaii on Monday.

\nThe Owls posted a 9-over par score of 297 at the Ocean Course Hokuala.
\n\u00a0

\nTrue freshman Ariana Silva<\/a> led the way for the Owls, carding a 1-over par 73 and recording one of two eagles on the day (Hole 10) for Kennesaw State. She’s currently in 29th place, individually.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Owls were one of only two programs (Baylor) to record multiple eagles on the first day.
\n\u00a0
\nRight behind her is Nyah Kelly<\/a>, who shot 2-over par in Round 1, thanks to four birdies on the day to sit in 40th place, individually.
\n\u00a0
\nKSU then had three Owls shoot 3-over par on the day in Jackie Jang<\/a>, Sabrina Kim<\/a> and Alessandra Nagayo<\/a>. All tied for 57th place, individually, both Jang and Kim scored four birdies apiece, while Nagayo carded 12 pars for the round, including two birdies.

\nHannah Cheryl Alan<\/a> led the individuals with a 6-over par 78, carding one birdie and the Owls’ second eagle of the day (Hole 6). Right behind her were Natasha Korman<\/a> and Ladina Luder<\/a>, who both tied for 93rd place with 7-over par finishes on Day 1.

\nPlay will begin on Tuesday with a 9:30 a.m. HT (3:30 p.m. ET) shotgun start. The tournament will wrap up on Wednesday with a 9 a.m. HT (3 p.m. ET) shotgun start.
