\n AFLW High Performance Manager Tom Sutherland provides an update ahead of Fremantle\u2019s Round 11 clash with Richmond on Saturday\n <\/p>\n
Fremantle have confirmed key forward \u00c1ine Tighe will not feature again this season, after she sustained another right knee injury during the Club\u2019s clash with Melbourne in Round 9.<\/p>\n
The injury appeared innocuous and occurred in the final minutes of the third quarter as Tighe went to change direction.<\/p>\n
The Club confirmed last week that the ACL was involved, but needed more information last week to determine the severity of the injury.<\/p>\n
AFLW High Performance Manager Tom Sutherland said the Club will have more information after a review with a specialist on Wednesday, which will clarify Tighe\u2019s rehab timeline.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been in constant review with some experts in the field about \u00c1ine\u2019s recent knee injury,\u201d Sutherland said.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe has an important appointment tomorrow, where we will get a bit more information.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor now, it does seem like the season will be over for \u00c1ine, which is really devastating for her.\u201d<\/p>\n
Utility Gabby O\u2019Sullivan has continued to progress through her lower leg injury and is a chance for an appearance this Saturday.<\/p>\n
\u201cGabby\u2019s been tracking quite well, so she\u2019s a test this week,\u201d Sutherland said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf she gets through training, she\u2019ll be available for some minutes this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n
Midfielder Orlagh Lally continues to take steps forward in her rehab for her foot injury.<\/p>\n
\u201cA step at a time for (Orlagh), which is good,\u201d Sutherland said.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s out of the boot for now, which means she\u2019s a step closer to returning to run, which is great to see.\u201d<\/p>\n
