After appeal, the one-game suspension for Denver Broncos<\/a> inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw has been upheld by the NFL, league spokesman Michael Signora confirmed<\/a> on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

The NFL initially announced the suspension on Monday after alleging that Greenlaw chased and “verbally threatened<\/a>” an official following the team’s game against the\u00a0New York Giants<\/a>\u00a0on Sunday.<\/p>\n

After kicker Wil Lutz converted a 39-yard game-winning field goal on Sunday, referee Brad Allen was quickly surrounded by Broncos<\/a> players, and video from the incident appears to show Allen push linebacker Justin Strnad<\/a> away from him during the commotion. After that, Greenlaw is shown running up to Allen, yelling at him. Greenlaw then left, and Allen threw a flag.<\/p>\n

Greenlaw will now miss Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys<\/a>, and he’ll lose a game check. Greenlaw will be eligible to return against the Houston Texans<\/a> in Week 9. Before making his 2025 debut against the Giants<\/a>, Greenlaw missed the first six games of the season with a quad injury. Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad will start against Dallas.<\/p>\n
