Singer R\ufeffyan Adams<\/a> has issued another apology after his earlier comments on Australia, which he labelled the “worst country ever<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

The US born singer-songwriter and former husband of singer and actress Mandy Moore<\/a> took to Instagram overnight with a series of posts and a video apologising over a previous show in Melbourne and comments he made about Australia.<\/p>\n

Adams, 50, was in Australia for his Heartbreaker ’25 tour but received attention for his on-stage behaviour, which included \ufeffleaving his set mid-song and complaining about the flashing lights of cameras which led to complaints from fans.<\/p>\n

He had previously apologised to fans in now deleted posts before doubling down on his criticism.<\/p>\n

Now Adams has apologised again in a series of posts which have also since been deleted, in which he put part of the blame on M\u00e9ni\u00e8re’s disease and Vestibular disease.<\/p>\n

His post began: “An open apology to #Australia concerning the Melbourne show and my inappropriate post.<\/p>\n

“I was so upset and so disappointed. I am to be 1000 per cent every show and exhaustion, a cold, and constant air travel caused me to have a M\u00e9ni\u00e8re’s episode.<\/p>\n

“I am sorry and I apologise to you, my management and my agents.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“I want to be a better man; the one to call out my absolute pettiness and this is an example of that.”<\/p>\n

Adams also said he regretted “saying anything” after the Melbourne concert and making it seem like he was addressing an entire country.<\/p>\n

He also blamed Vestibular disease, which he wrongly said was a “form of epilepsy” for his poor performance in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

Vestibular disease can cause vertigo, balance problems, vision disturbances and ear problems.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9ni\u00e8re’s disease is a chronic inner ear disorder that causes sudden episodes of vertigo, fluctuating hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing in the ear) and a feeling of pressure or fullness in the ear.<\/p>\n

In his post, Adams said that when “flash cameras would not stop” in Melbourne it triggered his body to “go into seizure”.<\/p>\n

“I’m not ‘blaming my illness’,” he continued, adding he had many ‘amazing’ shows both in Australia, and New Zealand, where he toured next.<\/p>\n

But he said he had recordings of every show that prove he asked “over 10 times to stop using flash as every one left me more blind in one eye and my hands twitched”.<\/p>\n

“My shows say NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY. Why? Because they can cause me to have a SEIZURE or worse.”<\/p>\n

He said a number of other musicians had to quit performing live because “audiences in certain places don’t seem to care despite signs”.<\/p>\n

“I managed an entire year to standing ovations and three-hour shows [before] the flight alone to Australia left my ears compressed,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

“I regret saying anything and I regret making it seem like I was addressing an entire country. I wasn’t.” \ufeff<\/p>\n
