The stars of the track line up for five days of pulsating action from the Vel\u00f3dromo Pe\u00f1alol\u00e9n in Santiago Chile where there are 22 gold medals up from grabs, 11 male and 11 female.<\/p>\n

Headlining the women’s endurance events is 2025’s most successful female rider the Dutch superstar Lorena Wiebes. In the women\u2019s sprint Britain\u2019s Olympic champion Emma Finucane will be looking for her third world title in a row and in the men\u2019s sprint can GB\u2019s new \u2018fastest man in the world\u2019 Matthew Richardson unseat the six time champion Harrie Lavreysen?<\/p>\n

In the men’s endurance events the Team Ineos time trial star Josh Tarling is making his event debut but will not be in the team pursuit squad instead lining up in the points race and pairing Mark Stewart in the Madison.<\/p>\n

And there\u2019s guaranteed to be a new world record as for the first time the women\u2019s individual pursuit will be held over four kilometres instead of three.<\/p>\n
