Once again, Kieran Foran<\/a> is returning to where his career started after Manly announced he will join the club as an assistant coach for the next two seasons.<\/p>\n

Foran started his playing career at Manly where he won a grand final in 2011 before playing for Parramatta, the Warriors and the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n

He returned to Manly in 2021 for two seasons and finished his playing career at the Titans.<\/p>\n

The Titans hoped Foran would stay at the club but family ties have led him back to Manly. <\/p>\n

“I’m stoked to be coming back to Manly, I really am,” Foran said in a club statement.<\/p>\n

“This club has been a huge part of my life and given me so much, and now I get to try and give a little back.<\/p>\n

“I’m super excited to be working alongside Seibs and the team and I can’t wait to rip in.<\/p>\n

“This is such an exciting new chapter for me and my family.”<\/p>\n

Foran announced his retirement at the end of the season but injuries for New Zealand meant he was selected for the Kiwis in the Pacific Championships<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His playing career will come to a close at the end of the tournament.<\/p>\n

With the departure of Daly Cherry-Evans and addition of Jamal Fogarty, Foran will be helping out a new halves pairing at the Sea Eagles, which includes Luke Brooks.<\/p>\n

After finishing seventh in 2024, Manly was disappointing this season and missed out on finals.<\/p>\n

Coach Anthony Seibold described Foran as a “significant addition”.<\/p>\n

“It’s wonderful to bring Kieran home to Manly,” he said.<\/p>\n

“He has Manly DNA and was a great servant to the club as a player and a premiership winner.<\/p>\n

“He now starts the next chapter in his career as a coach and I’m excited for him.<\/p>\n

“Having just retired as a player he understands the modern game at the highest level.<\/p>\n

“We will obviously assist Kieran in his formative coaching career as he learns his craft, but he will add great value to our playing group as a coach.<\/p>\n
