“Full House” star John Stamos<\/a> had harsh words for Lori Loughlin<\/a>‘s estranged husband Mossimo Giannulli this week.<\/p>\n

In a recent appearance on Josh Peck and Ben Soffer’s “Good Guys” podcast<\/a>, released Monday, Stamos sounded off about his former co-star’s relationship and the hardships he claimed she was put through.<\/p>\n

“I said, ‘Look, all the … negativity or hard hardships that you’ve been through in your life is connected to this guy,'” Stamos said, recounting his conversations with Loughlin. “Whatever he did to her, it busted her up to the core. And she put up with a lot over the years of this guy.”<\/p>\n

Loughlin and Giannulli, a fashion designer, recently separated after 28 years of marriage.<\/p>\n

Stamos also called Loughlin “an angel” and said he was “by her side” through her struggles.<\/p>\n

“Forty years I’ve known her. You can see through people after a few years. This woman’s a saint,” said the actor. “I’m just heartbroken for her right now.”<\/p>\n

Stamos also touched on the couple’s involvement in the infamous Varsity Blues college admissions scandal six years ago.<\/p>\n

“I really tried to be there for her during this time, and also with the college scandal,” Stamos said. “I’m not going to debate whether she had much to do with it or not. I know she didn’t.”<\/p>\n

Loughlin and Giannulli were arrested in 2019 and charged with fraud after paying $500,000 to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella into the University of Southern California under the false pretense the girls were Division I rowers. The charges stemmed from a broader investigation that resulted in 53 people being charged for allegedly paying to influence undergraduate admissions decisions at several prominent U.S. universities.<\/p>\n

In May 2020, Giannulli pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud, and Loughlin pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.<\/p>\n

Loughlin was subsequently sentenced to two months in prison while Giannulli was sentenced to five months.<\/p>\n

“In typical Lori fashion, I said, ‘How was it?’ She goes, ‘You know, I met a lot of nice ladies in there. We have a book club,'” Stamos said Monday, recounting his previous conversation with Loughlin about her time in prison. “That’s her, you know?”<\/p>\n

Stamos added that he has distanced himself from Giannulli in recent years and has no plans to reconnect with him for now.<\/p>\n

“Look, he’s a very successful dude. I will never talk to him again,” he said. “I pray that he gets a hold of his–whatever hole that he’s trying to fill, however he’s trying to fill it. I pray that he realizes that what he had was everything that anyone could ever hope for and that he gets some help.”<\/p>\n

Reached for comment, Stamos told ABC News he had nothing to add to his earlier podcast remarks.<\/p>\n
