\"Prahlad Ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar recently opened up about his experience working with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan<\/a> and Sushmita Sen<\/a>. While reflecting on their contrasting personalities, he described Aishwarya<\/a> as a \u201cprivate, family-oriented\u201d person, whereas Sushmita, he said, was \u201cmuffat\u201d (outspoken and candid).<\/p>\n

On Aishwarya\u2019s dignified silence<\/p>\n

Speaking about Aishwarya, Kakkar shared that he has known her since her first shoot and watched her journey to superstardom through Sanjay Leela Bhansali\u2019s films. \u201cAishwarya is a very private person; she\u2019s not a public person. She doesn\u2019t open up in front of anybody. She has a very small circle of close friends whom she trusts, and only with them does she actually talk freely,\u201d he told ANI.He added that because of this nature, the media often misunderstood her. \u201cIf they don\u2019t have access to somebody, they\u2019ll badmouth them. Aishwarya has always had this policy that she will not give single interviews. She\u2019ll hold a press conference where everyone can ask questions, but her private life is completely out of bounds,\u201d he explained.Kakkar also spoke about Aishwarya\u2019s grace during her much-publicised relationship with Salman Khan. \u201cEven when she was with Salman Khan, she didn\u2019t speak a word because that\u2019s her dignity. Aishwarya realised very early in life that her silence was her dignity and her strength. It bothered the media, and they constantly tried to demean or criticise her so she\u2019d react \u2014 but she never did,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

On Sushmita\u2019s openness<\/p>\n

In contrast, Kakkar described Sushmita Sen as the complete opposite. \u201cSushmita is an open book. She\u2019s muffat, and she doesn\u2019t care. Whatever they say \u2014 good or bad \u2014 she owns it. If it\u2019s about her boyfriend, she\u2019ll say, \u2018Yes, he\u2019s my boyfriend.\u2019 She never held anything back, and that\u2019s why she was a darling of the press,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

However, Kakkar noted that both actresses eventually became disenchanted with the film industry. \u201cSushmita got disenchanted with the industry \u2014 just like Aishwarya eventually did \u2014 and became difficult to access. I think she stopped trusting people. She was a little like Parveen Babi, somewhat westernised and a fish out of water in certain circumstances,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

On the industry\u2019s treatment of independent women<\/p>\n

According to Kakkar, both actresses were \u201croddied to some extent\u201d because of their independence. \u201cThey were such independent women, and the rest of the country doesn\u2019t understand independent women.
