Morley\u2019s Galleria is set to reclaim its movie magic, with a major cinema chain announcing a brand new multiplex for the shopping centre.<\/p>\n

HOYTS Australia & New Zealand has partnered with WA-born company ACE Cinemas to bring a new kind of experience to residents in Perth\u2019s north-east.<\/p>\n

The news comes just two months after Morley\u2019s Greater Union Cinemas, which operated inside the Galleria complex for more than 30 years, shut its doors to the public<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After news broke of the September closure, many locals speculated that the cinema would be bought by another entertainment company amid renovations and would reopen to the public \u2014 a guess that was right on the money!<\/p>\n

The new cinema\u2019s development will start in 2026, in tandem with Galleria\u2019s $240 million redevelopment.<\/p>\n

The latest ACE-HOYTS venture will include extra-comfy recliners \u2014 the perfect seats to rest in and enjoy the latest flick!<\/p>\n

The foyer and candy bar are scheduled for a major upgrade, bringing the chain\u2019s famous Treat City closer to locals in the City of Bayswater area.<\/p>\n

The Morley venue will also be the fourth WA cinema to feature D-BOX motion recliners \u2014 seats that move and rumble along with the film.<\/p>\n

The Morley location will be the 11th HOYTS cinema to open in Western Australia, following the opening of ACE HOYTS Midland Gate in late 2023.<\/p>\n

It is the 9th cinema that the entertainment giant has opened in Australia since 2020.<\/p>\n

HOYTS Group president Damian Keogh said the addition to the Galleria complex would deliver cutting-edge entertainment to local moviegoers.<\/p>\n

\u201cCinemas are a vital part of the community and provide entertainment for Australians of all ages \u2014 customers now expect the very best standards and Morley will deliver that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

ACE Cinemas general manager Jeremy Pye said that he was delighted to be working with HOYTS on bringing a new cinema to the Morley community.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere has been a cinema at this location for 30 years, so we are extremely proud to be keeping the movie magic alive by working with HOYTS to revamp this space and make it the premier cinema offering for local moviegoers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
