One of the world\u2019s biggest divas \u2014 Mariah Carey \u2014 has graced Perth with her presence as she prepares to take the stage at Langley Park for R&B festival Fridayz Live.<\/p>\n

The 56-year-old superstar dubbed the Songbird Supreme arrived in Perth on Thursday, where she was greeted with stunning spring weather.<\/p>\n

Having Carey perform in Perth is a rare treat, with fans keen to see the star, known for her Christmas-time appearances with festive songs, take the stage in all her glory.<\/p>\n

Her WA show comes after already touring much of the east coast, with the festival taking her to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Despite receiving rave reviews for her sky-high vocals, some fans have been left concerned after Carey appeared dazed and fatigued on stage at previous shows.<\/p>\n

However, Carey recently admitted she suffers from fibromyalgia \u2014 a chronic disorder known for causing pain, fatigue, muscle stiffness, and insomnia<\/p>\n

At her The Celebration of Mimi show on October 4 in Sentul, Indonesia, she reportedly told the crowd: \u201cI\u2019ve been battling fibromyalgia for years,\u201d and hence delivered a \u201csofter, slower\u201d set.<\/p>\n

Carey is known for her hits such as We Belong Together, Fantasy, Hero, One Sweet Day, Always Be My Baby, My All, Honey with All I Want for Christmas Is You, her most-streamed song on Spotify.<\/p>\n

Also headlining the festival is mega hip-hop star Pitbull alongside Wiz Khalifa, Lil Jon, Eve, Tinie Tempah and Jordin Sparks.<\/p>\n

It comes as Carey is set to be named the 2026 MusiCares Person of the Year at a benefit gala held in LA on January 30.<\/p>\n

Carey was chosen due to \u201cher extraordinary career as well as her long-standing commitment to supporting communities and people in need\u201d, according to a media statement.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first honour bestowed upon the iconic artist recently.<\/p>\n

Last month at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, Carey was presented with the Video Vanguard Award.<\/p>\n

She performed a discography-spanning medley, which marked her first performance at the awards since 2005.<\/p>\n
