Where I live (in the UK), Whitehall is best known for his stand-up comedy, panel shows and affable documentaries \u2013 but he’s been acting professionally since the age of nine. He’s a charismatic chap, and that makes me think he’s going to be convincing as the scheming Jack: we need to believe that Jack’s charm can win over Duchovny’s patriarch as he sets about trying to destroy the Tanners’ lives.<\/p>\n

But that’s probably true, because Malice is penned by the BAFTA award-winning screenwriter James Wood.
