Delouise Hoeter\u2019s journey in the NRL – from a young debutant to a valued senior squad member – has been far from regular.<\/p>\n

Hoeter made his first-grade debut in 2015 and played seven games for the Wests Tigers as a 21-year-old, but it wasn\u2019t until seven years later that he got another crack at the top level.<\/p>\n

He ended a 2475-day absence from the NRL when he made his Broncos debut in 2022 and has since had a career impacted by injury but filled with resilience. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Hoeter\u2019s value spans far beyond the football field, he drives the Club\u2019s culture, mentors younger players and helps with affiliates and his outstanding contributions were recognised when he was awarded the Broncos 2025 Club Person of the Year.<\/p>\n

The Club can also proudly announce he will remain a Bronco through to the end of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

He said he was grateful to the Broncos for giving him another opportunity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the camaraderie and the connection I have with the team has been amazing, I can\u2019t fault how they\u2019ve included me all the way through this time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

At the start of the year, we spoke about creating a legacy and that\u2019s something I want to be a part of, it\u2019s not just a one-off thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to prove to my kids that no matter what it is, if you work hard then at some point an opportunity will present itself and if you\u2019re ready, you\u2019ll be able to take that opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hoeter played 13-games at centre for the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls in the 2025 Hostplus Cup season and scored 11 tries which included a hat trick in two games.<\/p>\n

He also had five try assists and ran almost 130 metres on average per game.<\/p>\n

During the Origin period, Hoeter played centre in the Broncos four-point victory over the Bulldogs in Round 18, where he scored a try in the team\u2019s 18-point comeback.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe one moment that stood out for me is when I scored my try and turned around, there were so many boys just running at me to celebrate,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was so special because I think it was almost two-years between NRL games, so it was such a cool feeling to know I could create a great memory.\u201d<\/p>\n

General Manager of Recruitment and Pathways, Simon Scanlan, said Hoeter epitomises what the Club stands for.<\/p>\n
