Spartacus: House of Ashur<\/a>. The showrunner said the series could last for four to seven seasons, depending on how popular the series becomes:<\/p>\n\u201cI always like to have an idea that a show has legs before I sign on. So, we roughly mapped out about five seasons, and that could be four seasons, could be seven seasons, all depending on how popular the show is.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that the show will continue the signature move of the franchise, where no character is safe, and any character could die at any point in the story:<\/p>\n
\u201cI always say, though, before I say anything about the plan, the great thing about Spartacus is anyone could die at any moment.\u201d

Nick E. Tarabay, who is reprising his role as Ashur in the show, also echoed Deknight\u2019s thoughts and revealed how he has a long-term plan for the narrative. The actor said:<\/p>\n
\u201cI would call him like, \u2018Steven, I don’t know, this is weird.\u2019 He’d be like, \u2018Oh yeah, yeah. That won’t happen until season 4. It’ll pay off.\u2019 I’m like, \u2018Oh, so he’s got it all mapped out, clear in his head.\u2019\u201d
\n\u201cNothing is by accident. So, when the fans are seeing the first season, they’re going to be intrigued by some of the things that just pop out of nowhere. You’re like, \u2018Okay, that’s interesting.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
The original Spartacus series aired on Starz from 2010 to 2013 and told the story of a Thracian warrior who becomes the leader of a rebellion against slavery. Meanwhile, he has to find and protect his wife, who has also been taken as a slave.<\/p>\n
The sequel series was announced in February 2023 and is going to star Nick E. Tarabay, along with Jordi Webber, Claudia Black, Graham McTavish, Tenika Davis, Jamaica Vaughan, India Shaw-Smith, Cameron Rhodes, Leigh Gill, and Ivana Baquero.<\/p>\n
Spartacus: House of Ashur will premiere on Starz in the fall of 2025.<\/p>\n
