Matt McCarty will always have Black Desert Resort in his heart after claiming his maiden PGA Tour title there last year. Turns out, he also carries an actual piece of the place in his bag.<\/p>\n
Ahead of McCarty\u2019s return as the defending champ of the PGA Tour\u2019s annual stop in Utah, the left-handed golfer and his caddie, Devrath Das, played a version of the newlywed game. And that\u2019s where this random \u2013 but kind of cool \u2013 fact was revealed. Well, kind of cool to everyone except Das.<\/p>\n

Then Das dropped this unexpected detail:<\/p>\n \u201cWe literally have a rock from this course I\u2019ve been carrying around all year,\u201d as Matt laughs. \u201cJust in the bottom of the bag. Sentimental value, I understand, but it weighs a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n Amazing.
