The Dodgers announced their 26-man roster for their World Series showdown against the Blue Jays this morning. Among the notable omissions are Alex Vesia<\/a>, Tanner Scott<\/a> and Ben Casparius<\/a>. Scott has been out since the NLDS after undergoing<\/a> a lower body abscess excision. He was hopeful of returning for the World Series but has seemingly not been cleared. The Dodgers announced that Vesia is \u201caway from the team as he and his wife Kayla navigate a deeply personal family matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Los Angeles\u2019 26-man roster breaks down as follows:<\/p>\n

Catchers: Ben Rortvedt<\/a>, Will Smith<\/a>
\nInfielders: Mookie Betts<\/a>, Freddie Freeman<\/a>, Max Muncy<\/a>, Miguel Rojas<\/a>
\nOutfielders: Alex Call<\/a>, Justin Dean<\/a>, Teoscar Hernandez<\/a>, Andy Pages<\/a>
\nInfielders\/Outfielders: Tommy Edman<\/a>, Enrique Hernandez<\/a>, Hyeseong Kim<\/a>
\nDesignated hitter\/pitcher: Shohei Ohtani<\/a>
\nPitchers: Anthony Banda<\/a>, Jack Dreyer<\/a>, Tyler Glasnow<\/a>, Edgardo Henriquez<\/a>, Clayton Kershaw<\/a>, Will Klein<\/a>, Roki Sasaki<\/a>, Emmet Sheehan<\/a>, Blake Snell<\/a>, Blake Treinen<\/a>, Justin Wrobleski<\/a>, Yoshinobu Yamamoto<\/a><\/p>\n

The Dodgers will turn to Snell to start Game 1 of the World Series tonight against Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage<\/a>. Yamamoto is lined up to start Game 2, which is expected to be started by Jays righty Kevin Gausman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Glasnow and Ohtani figure to start Games 3 and 4 for L.A., while Toronto will have Shane Bieber<\/a> and former Dodger Max Scherzer<\/a> as options in those contests.
