{"id":238835,"date":"2025-10-25T01:19:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-25T01:19:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/238835\/"},"modified":"2025-10-25T01:19:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-25T01:19:11","slug":"ollie-bearman-doesnt-back-down-from-yuki-tsunoda-criticism-with-same-assessment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/238835\/","title":{"rendered":"Ollie Bearman doesn\u2019t back down from Yuki Tsunoda criticism with \u201csame assessment\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Ollie Bearman hasn\u2019t changed his view on Yuki Tsunoda\u2019s aggressive driving at the United States Grand Prix, insisting it was \u201cdangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Bearman heavily criticised Tsunoda following their battle at the Circuit of the Americas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Bearman attempted to overtake Tsunoda on the inside of Turn 15 in Austin.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tsunoda covered the move, forcing Bearman to cut the corner, run onto the grass, and spin as a result.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This nearly caused a huge crash between the pair, with Bearman narrowly avoiding Tsunoda\u2019s car.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tsunoda ultimately finished seventh, while Bearman dropped behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/f1\/teams\/sauber\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sauber<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/f1\/racer\/10\/nico-h-lkenberg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nico Hulkenberg<\/a> after the spin.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Bearman described Tsunoda\u2019s driving as \u201cunfair.\u201d He also suggested that Tsunoda was trying too hard to impress amid his uncertain F1 future.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">When asked for his view nearly one week later, Bearman said he still had the \u201csame assessment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cYeah, I mean, I still have the same assessment,\u201d Bearman said. \u201cOf course, when I finished the race, I was not happy.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cOf course, there was adrenaline and stuff, but the corner is one that you can do these kind of dangerous moves without it being that obvious, because of the nature of the corner.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cSo, a lot of people don\u2019t see what I saw and what we saw, but no, I keep the same view.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Bearman was mostly unhappy with Tsunoda moving under braking\u2014something agreed among drivers to be not allowed.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI mean, this corner where the track is turning left anyway, you just say, well, I\u2019m taking the apex,\u201d Bearman added.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cBut if you look at every other lap, that\u2019s not how it looks, you know, so it\u2019s one of those things.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThat\u2019s the bit that\u2019s worrying, I would say, and the fact that you broke super early as well. I never thought my approach on track was stiff. I have 10 points and eight of those, four I definitely deserved in Silverstone, but that\u2019s not a racing thing, that\u2019s just a stupidity thing.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAnd then I got another four in Monaco, which is also one that can be argued either way, in my opinion.
